We’ve all had to adapt to new realities, and APTN’s biggest annual celebration, APTN Indigenous Day Live (IDL), is no exception. The 2020 broadcast adaptation of IDL, APTN Indigenous Day Live Winter Solstice, featured many of Turtle Island’s established and emerging Indigenous artists in a new and creative way.

Five one-hour pre-recorded broadcasts brought together musicians, dancers, visual artists and designers from coast-to-coast-to-coast on all APTN channels. These artists and creators are writing our collective story in real time, honouring past and present struggles and paving the way for the brighter days ahead.

Our priority is the health and safety of our patrons, artists and volunteers and we support the efforts of Health Canada to mitigate and control transmission of COVID-19.

We continue to monitor the situation as we embark on the planning stages of IDL 2021. We don’t yet know what the celebration will look like, but we will continue to consider the well-being of our communities in every decision we make.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
