We’ve all had to adapt to new realities, and APTN’s biggest annual celebration, APTN Indigenous Day Live (IDL), is no exception. This year’s production has been adapted to feature many of Turtle Island’s established and emerging Indigenous artists in a new and creative way.
In accordance with the most recent recommendations and directions from the federal and provincial health authorities, APTN Indigenous Day Live will feature a virtual celebration on June 20, 2021. The three-and-a-half-hour broadcast will be repeated on June 21, 2021.
This year’s pre-recorded adaptation of IDL honours our Peoples’ milestones, highlights the power of collaboration and showcases Indigenous cultures. The celebration will bring together musicians, dancers, visual artists and designers from coast-to-coast-to-coast on all APTN channels.
Our priority is the health and safety of our patrons, artists and volunteers and we support the efforts of Health Canada to mitigate and control the transmission of COVID-19. We have been working hard over these past few months to create a safe virtual celebration that considers the well-being of our communities.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
